The Ponytail
division is for girls 6 - 7 - 8 years of age. This is a
division of coach pitch. If your daughter is 6 years of age
and has never played softball she may be better suited for
our Tee Ball division. Every girl will be placed on a team
regardless of ability or experience. The Ponytail division
is intended for developing softball skills in a
less-competitive environment. Scores and standings will not
be kept. All team placements are assigned by the league. We
will do everything possible to accommodate manager/coach and
friend requests you make during the registration process. If
you would like to form a Ponytail Team or request as many
friends as possible this is permitted.
7 and 8 year
olds can possibly play up a division, Minors division, but
only if the player attends the Mandatory Player Evaluation
process and is drafted by a Minor Division coach. If a
player, ages 7 or 8, goes through the Player Evaluation
process and is not drafted by a minor division coach then
the player is automatically placed on a Ponytail team. The
minor's division is a more competitive division with scores,
standings and a post season tournament.
