The Major Division consists of girls ages 9 to12
years of age. This division is a competitive division that is
entirely player pitch. The Majors division does keep score, division
standings, and a double elimination post season tournament and
All-Stars. ALL Major division players must go through a Mandatory
Player Evaluation process except for a coach's daughter. A draft process is used by
the coaches in this division. All girls will be placed on a team. If
a player between 9 to 11 years of age is not drafted by a major's
coach the player will then be drafted by a minor's coach.
A decision to move a 12 year old to the minors
division will only occur if the player does not have the skill set
to participate in the major's
division. This decision will be made by the league President,
Major's Director, Minor's Director and parents of the 12 year old.
Little League Incorporated will be implementing a
"No Player Property Rights" in every division. This means every girl
re-enters the draft every year and no team stays together year to
year. Gilbert Softball Little League is implementing this same
policy, No Player Property Rights. A player can not request a
certain coach. This is a draft process only so no request of any
kind can be honored. The only players that do not have to go through
the Mandatory Player evaluation are the coach's daughter and one
assistant coach's daughter. The assistant coach must be designated
before the Player Evaluation day.
Please check the
Calendar section on the Home Page of our web site
to
be aware of the Mandatory Player Evaluation date and other dates
regarding the league. All players will be
notified by the league, by e-mail, of a particular time and place
for the Player Evaluation.
If
you have any questions please e-mail us at,

All divisions will play by Little League Incorporated rules and
guideline with only a few exceptions.
